Well, this is my first post as founding (I like saying that) and senior pastor of Northgate Church in Ramsey. Wow! It’s been quite an adventure starting this new church. Sometime this summer I was playing the piano at home, doing a little singing on my own, when out of nowhere I felt this Holy Spirit impression that I should start a new church community. I said to my wife, Sarah, “Maybe God wants us to start a new church.” Neither of us was too sure of the idea, and truth be told, we dismissed it. A colleague of mine, it turns out, had the same impression a week or two later.

Well, fast forward to today. In just seven short weeks, God has done something truly unimaginable. He started a brand new church in Ramsey with hundreds and hundreds of people who are passionate about helping people become who God purposed them to be! It's been a fast ride. We’ve gone from one to two services, started a nursery, a kids ministry, a youth ministry, a band, a choir, several first impressions teams, etc.

God, all I can say is thank you. I’m so grateful. I’m having so much fun. . . the time of my life. God, you are so cool. Thanks for this huge surprise.  Thanks for starting Northgate. And, thanks to all you (Northgaters) who joined God in starting this church.

Then the man brought me by way of the north gate to the front of the temple. I looked and saw the glory of the LORD filling the temple of the LORD, and I fell facedown (Ezekiel 44:4).
