For the past almost two years, we have lived across the street from three foster children (a brother and two sisters). These kids are like family to us—another fixture in the Perkins household. Sometimes (truthfully) they drive me a little crazy, but most of the time they are just pure joy. In fact, as my wife says, they are probably the politest kids we’ve ever met.  Well, today, they are moving out of state to live with family. My kids’ hearts are just broken. Pray for Isaac and Emma. It’s a really good thing for these three kids, but not so good for our kids. We will miss them all so much.

We love you Barnabas, Deborah and Jerusalem! Thanks for brightening our lives with your friendship. We will see you next summer, Lord willing.

Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another (1 John 4:11).
