Northgate’s mission to help people become who God purposed them to be comes alive when we’re all engaged with scripture.

True story, bro.

Sure, Bible reading can be difficult to focus on or confusing at times, but the simple, routine act of opening up the word and asking God to move through it, builds big dividends that payoff later.

What does God say about reading scripture?

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:16-17

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psalm 119:105

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Joshua 1:8

But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” Matthew 4:4

Wild and wonderful things happen in our hearts, minds, prayers and actions when we digest all the goodness that scripture has to offer. Even when we don’t understand something the first time we read it, God helps us come to an understanding over time. Our job is simply to come to the table and feast.

That’s why Northgate is always encouraging people to really dig into Bible-reading and we provide resources and reading plans to make it happen.

And now, here’s a super simple way we can help you dive in…
