Ponder these questions after you listen to the message:

  1. Perhaps you have a relationship in your life where there is conflict. Where might your own brokenness be part of that conflict?

  2. Reflect, take some time and respond to God, thanking Him for forgiving you for your part in the broken relationship. How might you respond to the other person in the relationship, the way God responds to us?

  3. Reflect on the battles in your life this Christmas season. Which battles might be needless which you could quit fighting? Take time asking God to help you let these battles go, and ask Him to move in your life the way He would like. Who might He want to show compassion to through you?ME

Ponder these questions after you listen to the message:

  1. As you ponder the message, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you where you could simplify this Christmas season. What is that area in your life? Once you simplify, what is a way you can replace the resources gained by simplicity, to join God in what He is doing?

  2. Who in your life could you give the gift of time this Christmas? Ask God to help you dream about how you might do that.

  3. What is at least one way you want to be different in giving a gift this year? Time or resources to the homeless, a charity, the church, the neighbor who lost their job, etc.

  4. Let us spend time this week thanking God for his unconditional love, grace, mercy, and guidance as we navigate through this Christmas season.

Broke

Have a holly, jolly Christmas. It’s the best time of the year! Or is it? Stress is high, money is scarce, emotions are raw, and expectations are just plain unrealistic.  Sometimes Christmas just seems "broke". But what if the joy of the holidays isn't as elusive as we think it is? What if, despite any circumstance, we could be calm, content, and even. . . delighted? Let's move past what is broken this season and hold onto what is beautiful this Christmas.
